TERRIBLE, FLAMMABLE COMFORTER... Yes, you read that correctly
The colors are great on this comforter set... I'll give it that. But the comforter itself is crap. It was crunchy and crackily (weird, I know) in the inside for large portions. You could also feel these portions tearing on the inside, too. This was right after taking it out of the bag. We gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought that washing it may help. We took it to the local laundromat because it was king size and would not fit in our home machines. The wash went fine, except that the comforter still felt bad in those same spots. After being in the industrial-sizes dryer for ONLY 8 MINUTES ON PERMANENT PRESS THE COMFORTER WAS SMOKING AND VISIBLY BURNED on the parts which were already crunchy/crackily. Dumbfounded we took it out and went home.
I've bought $50 bed-in-a-bag sets that are much better than this comforter. It's a shame, too, because the colors are great, and the shams / bedskirt are good and what we expected. Now we will need to shell out some more...

Unbelievable experience
I bought this comforter set in January, including the matching Euro shams. The set is lovely, my bed looked like something out of home and gardens. In March my son had an accident in my new beautiful bed. The directions on the comforter said the set was machine washable, I hand washed the comforter and put in the dryer on low setting for 20 minutes. I checked on it to make sure it was drying and was in total shock to see that the filling inside had melted in several areas. The fabric was stuck to the melted fiberfill. It was hard and smelled of burned plastic. I contacted Echo Designs via email and explained what had happened. I promptly received a return email from Suzanne in customer service asking me for both photos of the comforter and my receipt from Amazon. I explained to her that the damage was on the inside of the fabric and that it was not something you could see on the exterior. Wonderful
I was hesitant to purchase this product because I had read another review on a different color of Echo bedding describe the set as a bed in a bag. This set is far more than that. It is very soft - not at all scratchy. The colors are great - vibrant but not too overpowering. I'm not sure how the comforter will hold up over time, but, for now, I'm extremely pleased.
